I had some surgery about 3 weeks ago and will be sitting around at home for a couple of months. I get bored easily, especially if incapacitated, so the weeks are going to be filled with tedium. I have had a lot of support from my 3 best mates on UK Pagan. I suppose my time is best being filled with reading as well as getting a bit involved in a Wiccan online course. I am not a Wiccan at heart, I dont like a structured state, which is how I see it, but I think it is good to take the lessons and exams just for the knowledge.
I am interested in the tarot course for much the same reason. I use the tarot as a focus when I am reading with a subject, I let the cards and their positions speak to me rather than me attempting to interpret them, so again, from a history and understanding their background, the tarot course is quite interesting.
Such a grey and murky old day and the best you can say is 'it might rain or it might not'

- I am a pagan witch and live in Manchester although I prefer the hill country and spend as much time as I can in the Pennines. I have respect for, and seek my guidance through two Celtic goddesses. The first is Cerridwen - keeper of the cauldron and goddess of wisdom. In Welsh legend, Cerridwen represents the crone. She has powers of prophecy, and is the keeper of the cauldron of knowledge and inspiration in the Underworld. The other goddess is Beira, she is known as the Queen of Winter. another crone aspect of the Goddess, and rules the dark days between Samhain and Beltaine. Beira is a goddess in Scottish mythology and is credited with the creation of many hills and mountains which makes her an earth goddess, she is also credited with being the mother of all the gods and goddesses. Cerridwen I look to for knowledge and understanding of herbs, magic and clairvoyance. Beira is the deity on my altar in the winter, my favourite season, and a time when I feel my magic is at it's strongest.
